The NOVAGUARD lick guard is the best alternative to the neck funnel: the cat is prevented from licking wounds on the body or nibbling on bandages, with the greatest possible freedom of movement.

You surely know this: Your unfortunate cat has to walk around with a big neck funnel, which usually hinders and frightens it severely.

Now there is NOVAGUARD lick protection for your cat:

  • the Novaguard has a very tight radius and allows the cat to walk comfortably through narrow passages and around corners without getting caught – and that also saves your nerves!
  • due to its intelligent design, the Novaguard sits firmly on the head, does not slip and does not disturb the animal by uncontrolled “wiggling” around
  • with the Novaguard the cat has its full freedom of movement of the head – for eating, playing and sleeping
  • the Novaguard is put on precisely with a Velcro fastener and does not require a separate collar for this purpose
  • the Novaguard is available in 2 different sizes – “mini” for small cats and “extra small” for the bigger animals
  • the Novaguard is made of polypropylene and is very easy to clean with a gentle detergent if necessary

For cats, there are basically two different sizes:


1. size “mini” (PN403)

This size is suitable for most adult cats of normal size. The weight of your cat is up to 6 kg (normal weight). The mask is dark blue and must always be shortened at the front.

2. size “extra small” (PN404)

This slightly larger NOVAGUARD is suitable for very large cats or male cats. The animal has a significantly larger and stronger head than the average domestic cat. Breeds with a lot of head fur (Maine Coon etc.) often need this size. This mask size has the color yellow.

THE RIGHT SIZE IS IMPORTANT !

A good fit is important for the correct functioning of the mask and thus gives your cat the opportunity to quickly get used to the Novaguard.

A GOOD FIT!
When putting on the NOVAGUARD, make sure that the neck strap is tight, because if the mask can be shaken, the cat will be less likely to accept it. Depending on your cat’s temperament, you can loosen the strap again once the mask has been accepted.

  • Bevor man die Maske erstmals aufsetzt, die Katze bitte ausführlich dran schnuppern und das Gesicht dran reiben lassen; – der Katze ERZÄHLEN, wofür die Maske gut ist 
  • bei blinden Katzen: Man stellt sich ausserdem die Katze mit der Maske auf dem Kopf intensiv vor
  • dem Katze die Maske mal mit ins Körbchen legen, damit sie sich an den Gedanken gewöhnt 
  • später obiges wiederholen und DANN ERST AUFSETZEN  
  • dabei die katze sehr loben und ihr sagen, wie schick sie aussieht
  • versuchen Sie, die Katze sich im Spiegel anschauen zu lassen – aber zwingen Sie sie nicht!
  • blinden Katzen immer auch erzählen, was Sie gerade machen !

    Manche Katze mag es manche nicht aber die Ohren sind frei das kleine Gesicht ist geschützt und lecken geht nicht. Auch erstmal keine Scheuerstellen am Hals. Für Maine Coons empfiehlt sich übrigens die kleinste Hundevariante mindestens es wird aber netter
