DOG ARMOR Anti Parasite

DOG ARMOR Anti Parasite

WARNING: These products must not be used in households with cats!

High efficiency with little chemistry

Almost every dog owner has a bad conscience, because he fights insects on his animal with a lot of chemicals. But biological methods do not work in every case. A worried dog owner with appropriate scientific education has now developed a new method to obtain maximum results in the destruction of vermin with small amounts of chemicals. The DogArmor dog bed is the patented result. Research and development took years.

There are three protective products available:

1. DogArmor Knockdown Bed:

What are the details ?
The idea was to use the known insecticidal active ingredient permethrin only in the smallest amount. For this purpose, suitable textiles should be treated with permethrin to kill ticks and fleas on contact. At the same time, permethrin needs to stay firmly in the fabric so that it is not transmitted to the dog or human. This was achieved with the patented process of Insect Shield®. The Permethrin is "glued" in the fabric. Even frequent washing does not solve it out. An ingenious, patented method using the Insect Shield® technology!

What does this mean?
In comparison to the commercially available products, which are applied to the dog's neck (some of them also use permethrin), the DogArmor products contain only a fraction of their concentration of permethrin. For humans, the method is very advantageous, too, particularly in families with children: For chemical products, caution is always necessary, however when using the DogArmor products the dog can be petted. The Permethrin remains in the fabric.
These innovative products protect dogs reliably against parasites such as ticks and fleas: The permethrin in the soft, solid and water resistant material (high quality 420D polyester) kills insects on contact reliably. The products are odorless and can be washed up to 70 times before the effect wears off. To sum it up: These are NO products that were simply "soaked" in Permethrin (and thus would be harmful!). Rather, it is the intelligent, patented method: A small amount of Permethrin is "stuck" in the textile and is still highly efficient

Permethrin was the chemical chosen because it is already used in a similar form: Mosquito nets and outdoor clothing are processed with Permethrin, to protect humans particularly in malaria areas. Thereby Permethrin was recommended by the World Health Organization, because it is very effective against insects, but decomposes rapidly on the skin and then evaporates. Nevertheless: Permethrin is a pesticide, and thus in principle not harmless - and must always be handled with care and caution! But: Permethrin is one of the safest pesticides to humans and mammals - except for cats!

Why not for cats?
Cats have a different genetic structure than dogs. They are naturally MISSING  a certain enzyme. This enzyme prevents Permethrin (and other chemicals) from reaching the brain. That is why cats should not come into contact with Permethrin. Depending on the intensity this can result in paralysis or even cause their death. Even though the DogArmor products contain little permethrin: Cats should stay away from it. Corresponding standard chemical anti-tick products may not be for dogs either when cats are living in the same household.
